Classes are taught in small groups, creating plenty of opportunities for one-to-one tuition in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. All the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced so the perfect way to create some wonderful recipes. Inspired by our chef and what you have learned you can take a break mid-way through the morning to relax on the terrace with a refreshing drink and enjoy the wonderful views from the villa, or chat with our chef or fellow guests about the world of Italian cuisine. Once the cooking is complete, you'll be able to enjoy your food and cookery skills with new-found friends during a relaxed lunch or dinner.
The Itinerary here is purely a sample and will depend on which venue and activity you choose.
Breakfast in style and then it's time for your second cooking lesson. Then off to a wine tasting at Planeta, a leading winemaker in Sicily. We have our private tasting at Ulmo - Planeta's private estate on the shores of Lake Arancio. Time for some fresh air at the ocean (to dissipate the wine fumes!) and a stroll along the beach. Appetites awakened its back to the villa for a sumptuous dinner.
An early breakfast before our departure for the beautiful archeological park of Segesta. Then
onto Castellamare De Golfo for a stroll around this lovely fishing village and lunch. Off to
Tonnaro de Scopello for a swim in crystal clear waters, a tiny jewel of a fishing village made
famous in the movie Oceans 12. In the afternoon we will visit Erice for some local shopping and a stroll around this medieval town and then take the cable car down, returning back to the villa for aperitivo and dinner.
Start the day with a healthy breakfast. Followed by your cooking lesson and lunch. Afternoon relaxing by the pool. An early evening departure for dinner at Da Vittorio’s stunning beach side restaurant as the sun begins to set. Giorgio Locatelli recently said .... My favourite place is Da Vittorio Ristorante, a fish restaurant on the beach in Porto Palo di Menfi. There's no menu, but the antipasti might include red prawns, octopus in oil and lemon juice or marinaded anchovies - whatever the fishermen have caught that day - and the mains might be pasta with sea urchins, pasta with mixed seafood, or catch of the day grilled on the barbecue.Daily Telegraph 2015
Cooking lesson before breakfast. Departure for Marsala and optional wine tasting. Marsala is a lovely Baroque town famous for the dessert wine of the same name, which was actually created by a soap merchant from Liverpool in 1773. Time then for an afternoon boat trip to Mozia island
just off the coast to see the amazing salt pans. Returning then to nearby Marsala for a short visit. Then its back to the villa for our farewell dinner.
